Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Director (Legal)

Candidates must have the following qualifications and experience:

1. Education & Experience:

• LLB degree or equivalent qualification in at least 2nd division from an HEC-recognized university.
• Experience (Option A): 5 years of practice as an Advocate in the High Court. (Preference will be given to those with 2 years of experience with government agencies or law firms.
• OR Experience (Option B): If the candidate has a post-graduate degree in law (LLM etc.), then 3 years of practice in the High Court. (Preference will be given to those with 2 years of experience with government agencies or law firms.
• Note: Practical experience must be acquired after acquiring the prescribed qualification (LLB).

2. Age Limit:

• Male: 30 to 40 + 05 Years Relaxation = Up to 45 Years.
• Female: 30 to 40 + 08 Years Relaxation = Up to 48 Years.
• No further relaxation will be given in age, education, or any other criteria.

3. Domicile:

• Only candidates having a domicile of Punjab province are eligible.

Salary Package & Benefits

This job is on a contract basis, and its biggest advantage is the salary.

• Monthly Salary: Selected candidates will be given a monthly lump-sum salary of Rs. 2,73,132/-.
• This appointment will be made under the Contract Appointment Policy 2004 of the Government of Punjab.

Selection Process & Syllabus

Candidates will have to take a 100-mark MCQ-type test (90 minutes duration), the syllabus for which is as follows:

1. General Knowledge (25%): Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Islamic Studies, English, Urdu, Everyday Science, Basic Math, Basic Computer Studies.
2. Act and Laws (75%):
   • Punjab Control of Narcotics Substances Act, 2025
   • Control of Narcotics Substances Act, 1997
   • Qanoon-e-Shahadat Ordinance, 1984
   • Pakistan Penal Code
   • Code of Criminal Procedure
