Academic Qualifications for Pakistan Marine Academy Jobs

To apply as a Nautical Cadet, candidates must meet the following academic requirements:

• Matriculation with science subjects.
• Intermediate (F.Sc. Pre-Engineering or Pre-Medical with Mathematics) with at least 55% aggregate marks.
  • Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are mandatory.
  • O/A Level students must submit an equivalence certificate from IBCC.

Note: Students with Pre-Medical must have studied Mathematics as an additional subject.

Eligibility Criteria

Here’s what you need to be eligible for PMA Nautical Cadet program:

1. Nationality

• Must be a male citizen of Pakistan.
• Female applicants are currently not eligible for the Nautical Cadet course.

2. Age Limit

• Maximum 20 years on 31st December 2025 of the admission year.
• For candidates from Gilgit-Baltistan, FATA, and AJK, the age limit is 21 years. (One Year age relaxation)

3. Physical Fitness

• Medically fit as per IMO/WHO standards.
• Good eyesight (6/6 vision in both eyes without glasses for Deck Cadets).
• No color blindness or hearing impairment.
• Minimum height: 5 feet 4 inches.

4. Marital Status

• Must be unmarried at the time of admission.

How to Apply for PMA Cadet Course?

1. Visit the official Pakistan Marine Academy Website.
2. Download the prospectus and application form.
3. Submit the application form with required documents and bank draft including Rs 4000 fee.
4. Appear for the Written Entry Test (conducted by NTS).
5. Shortlisted candidates will go through medical and physical fitness tests.
6. Final selection is based on merit, test scores, and medical clearance.

Career Path After Graduation

Upon successful completion of the 2-year course:

• You will receive a Certificate of Pre-Sea Training.
